Wristband and Bib Number Policy

WRISTBAND & BIB NUMBER POLICY

Two local dishonest thieves/cheaters, also known as "Bandits" in the cycling world, landed in the 2017 Vuelta Puerto Rico! One was ejected in mile 90 on the first day and the second one was stealthy all the way to the end when the Director confirmed and confronted the cheater, refusing to give him a medal.

Effective February 1, 2017, all positively identified registered riders are required to wear, at all times during the event, the official wristband and bib number (matching with helmet and bike). The wristband must be visible at all times, especially during the lines for food. Failing to do so will get the attention of our Event Crew, Road Captains, Volunteers and Director and you will be asked to verify that you are indeed registered. If you are participating in the event and you are not registered, we will immediately notify the police and you will no longer be allowed continue in the event. Please keep yourself from being accused of "theft of service".
