THE OFFICIAL ROUTE
The success of Vuelta Puerto Rico stems from the meticulous mapping of the roads of Puerto Rico into what is considered to be the best route ever. Since 2005, when the route was presented, we have made subtle changes and every year we add or take off sections in an effort to reach the perfect route. The original route had 375 miles (exactly 600 kilometers!) so, every year we try hard to stay within that mileage. The links below provide a day-by-day summary of the entire route for this upcoming edition. Be advised, that the official route for the event will be published on February 1 to account for any last minute unforeseen changes, usually related to road construction.
Day 1: 148 miles through the following towns:
San Juan, Carolina, Loíza, Río Grande, Luquillo, Fajardo, Ceiba, Naguabo, Humacao ...
Day 2: 79 miles through the following towns:
Ponce, Peñuelas, Guayanilla, Yauco, Guánica, Lajas, Cabo Rojo, & Mayagüez. All Pelotons ...
Day 3: 130 miles through the following towns:
Mayagüez, Añasco, Rincón, Aguada, Aguadilla, Isabela, Quebradillas...
