GROUND TRANSPORTATION (Über, über, über ...)

Moving to and from the airport has never been easier. Once you have claimed your baggage and bike box, exit any terminal and there you will have two options; Über or Taxis.

Calling ÜberX or ÜberXL

Effective October 15, 2019 Über is now picking up and dropping off anyone at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). Once you deplane and reach the outdoor ground level curbside, follow the 'Rideshare' sign for the pick-up location. If you are carrying your bike, make sure to contact ÜberXL for both, you and your bike. Like in any other major city, if you have a smartphone you can call an Über anytime, 24 hours a day or even reserve for a pick-up ahead of time. Über in the only ridesharing company in Puerto Rico and has been operating since the summer of 2016.

Calling Taxis

These taxis are usually 15 passenger vans for one party. The average one-way fee ranges between $20-$25  to Old San Juan depending on your destination. Bike boxes fit comfortably in these air conditioned vans. Once you are in your hotel, you may choose to call a taxi.
